The Councilor for Festejos, José Domingo Castro, announced that the traditional festival of Parque de la Cañada will take place on July 18th, starting at 8:00 PM. This initiative, organized by the Festejos Delegation of the Baena City Council, aims to increase the visibility of the park and continue supporting a neighborhood with a rich history and the ongoing collaboration of its residents.
The evening will kick off with a bingo game offering significant prizes. Following this, local dance groups such as Hobby Dance and Tercera Dance will perform. This year, the festival will feature special appearances by Santi and Paqui from the group Bailongos (from Doña Mencía), Antonio and Isabel from Benadance, and Juan and Gracia from Baila con ellas (from Benamejí).
Among the new additions this year, the councilor highlights the performance by the group Carril Bici, a cover band composed of young professionals who are sure to energize the celebration. Additionally, local artist Antonio Jesús Plaza will perform, at the request of the neighborhood residents, showcasing his characteristic talent.
As in previous years, there will be a bar service at popular prices and raffles between performances. Councilor Castro encourages citizens to "support neighborhood festivals" to enjoy an unforgettable evening together.
