The entity, whose registration with the Andalusia Associations Registry was agreed upon on March 17, 2026, serves as a space for meeting, reflection, and collaboration among former councilors of Cadiz. Its primary focus is to facilitate institutional cooperation and contribute to the democratic development of the city.
Among its stated objectives are the promotion of studies, meetings, and activities that reinforce the democratic system, as well as the defense of fundamental rights and freedoms, collaboration with public institutions, and the dissemination of the constitutional and statutory framework.
The Board of Directors includes José Blas Fernández as president, Josefina Junquera as vice president, Manuel Pérez Fabra as secretary, and Marisa de las Cuevas as treasurer. Juan Manuel Pérez and María José Santiago serve as members-at-large.
The Foro Hércules aspires to become a benchmark for participation and analysis in Cadiz's public life, leveraging the accumulated experience of those who have held municipal responsibilities and fostering dialogue and institutional cooperation. Additionally, the entity will organize cultural activities, meetings, and debate forums, open to society, to contribute to the democratic and social progress of Cadiz.
