The incident began when a 15-year-old girl started to experience an asphyxiation episode. Her mother, seeing her collapse, fell unconscious, while the grandmother, paralyzed by shock, managed to call emergency services at 092 at the last possible moment.
Four Local Police officers from Algeciras responded quickly to the distress call. Their actions were decisive, as they successfully cleared the minor's airways, stabilizing her condition. Concurrently, they provided assistance to the mother until the ambulance arrived, ensuring both received the necessary medical attention.
An intervention that reminds us that, in an emergency, every second counts… and can make the difference between life and death.
