The event, which brought together thirteen universities from across the country, was hosted at the Specialized Center for Sports Technification in Sailing Bahía de Cádiz, located in El Puerto de Santa María. The competition unfolded over two qualifying days and a final day, where the top seven teams competed in ideal easterly wind conditions.
The ultimate victory went to Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona, which successfully defended the title it had won in the previous edition. Second place was secured by the University of La Coruña, while the University of Seville achieved a notable third position.
The team from Cádiz, which included a sailor from La Línea, finished in fourth place. Following Cádiz in the rankings were the universities of Madrid, Cartagena, and Valencia, respectively.
One of the most praised aspects of the championship was the successful completion of all scheduled races under the demanding round robin format. This system ensures that all teams compete against each other, rewarding consistency and skill throughout the week. The races were contested in raquero boats with spinnakers, adding a tactical and dynamic element to the competition, and were officiated by national judges with extensive international experience.
