This event, which will take place simultaneously throughout Spain, aims for the doors of city halls to become a meeting point for citizens to publicly express their support for Ceuta amidst the difficulties it has faced since late July. The Cádiz council has called for the participation of institutional representatives, collectives, and residents.
The initiative holds special significance for Cádiz, a city twinned with Ceuta since 2007, reflecting the strong historical, social, cultural, and human ties that unite both cities on either side of the Strait. Through this participation, Cádiz reaffirms the message that «Ceuta is not alone» and that its situation concerns all of Spanish society.

Other municipalities in the province have also shown their support. The mayor of Algeciras, José Ignacio Landaluce, announced absolute backing for the rally, highlighting the severe migratory situation Ceuta is experiencing. In Algeciras, the flag of Ceuta is already flying at the City Hall as a symbol of solidarity.
In El Puerto, the rally will be held in Isaac Peral square, and the mayor, Germán Beardo, has invited citizens to join this demonstration of closeness. El Puerto will also display the flag of Ceuta on the City Hall balcony.
Los Barrios is also joining the silent gathering, reaffirming the historical and cultural ties with Ceuta. The mayor of Jerez de la Frontera and president of the FEMP, María José García-Pelayo, has been one of the promoters of the call to Spanish municipalities to support this citizen mobilization.
