The academic institution is dressed in its finest to recognize the new doctors, in an event scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM. This solemn occasion will be presided over by the rector of the UCA, who will be accompanied by various personalities from the university, political, economic, and social spheres of the province.
Among the attendees are representatives from the Junta de Andalucía and the Puerto Real City Council, as well as military authorities and state security forces. A member of the Criminal Law department of the University of Cádiz will deliver the speech of thanks on behalf of the new doctors.
Of the 74 new doctors, 62 come from the University of Cádiz Doctoral School (EDUCA) and 12 from the International Doctoral School in Marine Studies (EIDEMAR). It is worth noting that, during this academic year, a total of 149 doctoral theses have been defended at the university in Cádiz.
The ceremony was initially scheduled for last January, coinciding with the feast day of Saint Thomas Aquinas, but had to be suspended and rescheduled due to the orange alert for storms that affected the region.
