The production of 'El sueño fantástico de Batillo', a fiction short film paying homage to the traditional Tía Norica puppets, has announced the addition of Tireless Films. This company, based in Nambroca (Toledo), joins the existing team in Andalusia and Madrid, enriching the project with its expertise and resources.
The collaboration of Tireless Films not only expands the territorial scope of the project, covering Andalusia, Madrid, and Castilla-La Mancha, but also enhances its financing and distribution possibilities. The company will provide specialized technical equipment, adapted to the specific needs of the filming, which is scheduled for the last week of May in the city of Cádiz.
The founder of the production company, who will also serve as director of photography, boasts over two decades of professional experience in various fields such as advertising, fiction, and documentary. His participation is crucial for the visual quality of the short film, which is based on the play 'El sueño' by Pepe Bablé, adapted by himself alongside the film's director.
The production will feature significant participation from local talent in Cádiz, both artistically and technically. Among the confirmed voices for the puppets are renowned performers. Filming will span seven days across different locations in the city, and the team is currently in the final pre-production phase, finalizing logistical and technical details.
'El sueño fantástico de Batillo' aims to bring the universe of Tía Norica, a cultural benchmark for puppet theater in Cádiz since the 18th century, to the cinematic format. This initiative seeks to introduce this valuable scenic heritage to new audiences through cinema, combining traditional Gaditan theater with contemporary cinematic language.
