The first intervention took place near San Juan de Dios square. Officers acted after detecting a dispute between two individuals. Upon identifying one of those involved, it was confirmed that there was an active warrant for his search, arrest, and appearance. During the operation, officers also seized a machete with an approximately 11-centimeter blade carried by the detainee. The individual was subsequently transferred to the facilities of the National Police.
A second operation unfolded around 6:00 PM in the Central Market area. Officers arrested a man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health. The intervention occurred after police observed a possible drug transaction inside a vehicle. After intercepting it, various narcotic substances, including hashish and cocaine, prepared for distribution, were found, along with 756 euros in cash in various denominations.
The third arrest happened late in the day near Plaza de España. Officers from the Viogén unit apprehended a male for an alleged crime of gender violence. According to initial reports, the detainee had assaulted his partner in a public place, causing injuries. The events were witnessed by several individuals, whose statements supported the victim's account, and she received assistance according to established protocol.
These actions are part of the surveillance and prevention operations that the Local Police regularly maintain in the historic center of Cádiz.
