The Government's management is characterized by notable instability in its ministerial portfolios. Over an eight-year period, the administration has seen nearly 60 ministers pass through its ranks, a figure that significantly exceeds those of previous governments, such as those of Aznar or Rajoy, who had considerably fewer ministerial heads during similar or slightly shorter periods.
This high turnover means that, with few exceptions, ministers do not remain in their positions for long. This situation creates a dynamic where newly appointed officials, in gratitude for their designation, vehemently adopt and disseminate the official messages and arguments provided to them, becoming spokespersons for the governmental line.
“"The cabinet's tendency is to repeat the daily message in unison, and for everyone equally."
In recent months, especially following certain controversies, there has been a noticeable emphasis on the term «forcefulness» by cabinet members. This repetition seems to aim at diluting or disassociating any possible connection to delicate situations, reinforcing an image of firmness.
Government communication has focused on promises and recurring phrases, often conjugated in the gerund, which is interpreted as a way to avoid direct accountability. The executive leader's long-term goal, as stated, is projected until 2035, with the intention of extending their mandate beyond 2027.
