Jerez Airport has experienced a notable recovery in its activity, driven by an increase in international flights, resulting in a significant rise in passenger numbers during the start of the spring-summer season.

The Jerez terminal, located in the province of Cádiz, closed the month of March with a very positive balance, reaching 54,816 passengers. This figure represents a 2.6% increase compared to the same period last year, 2025, and is primarily attributed to the dynamism of international traffic.
Of the total travelers, 54,523 used commercial connections. While 36,799 opted for domestic flights, a significant group of 17,724 passengers chose international routes. This foreign segment stood out with a 25.2% growth. Germany positioned itself as the main source market, with 16,006 passengers, followed by Denmark (632), the United Kingdom (535), and Iceland (494).
Regarding air operations, the airport managed 4,778 aircraft movements in March, of which 558 were commercial, a figure similar to that recorded in 2025. This strong performance in March contributed to the first quarter of 2026 closing with 129,837 passengers, a 5.3% increase over the same period in 2025, and 11,076 operations, with 1,449 commercial.
The arrival of the charter between Bern and Jerez last week, which included the presence of tour operator executives and Swiss media representatives such as SkyNews and Travel Inside, underscores the commitment to market diversification. This connection with Switzerland, which traditionally operated in autumn, is extended to spring for the first time, consolidating a high value-added market due to its extended stays and high spending.
The new flight program for spring-summer, inaugurated on March 29, features 25 connections, one more than in 2025. Notable additions include regular flights to Santiago de Compostela and London, as well as the incorporation of charters to Nuremberg (Germany), Bern (Switzerland), and Warsaw (Poland). During this season, about twenty airlines will operate at the airport.
