Firefighters immediately attended the scene to extinguish the flames, which originated in a mobile 'eco-point' container. The highly flammable material inside, such as engines, batteries, or batteries, caused large flames.
Eyewitnesses have suggested the fire may have been deliberately started, although this circumstance has not yet been officially confirmed. The deployed units acted quickly to prevent the fire from spreading and to avoid damage to the area due to the intense smoke.
The situation was brought under control within minutes. This incident occurs on the same day that the National Police reported the arrest of a 30-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of an intentionally caused fire in an Algeciras hotel on June 30th.
In the Algeciras case, the hotel fire necessitated the evacuation of over two hundred guests, who were able to leave the building without serious personal injury. Subsequent investigations, including a technical-police inspection, concluded that the fire had been intentionally caused.
