The Municipal Cultural Center on Ancha Street in Cádiz has been hosting the exhibition 'Cathedrals. Divine Light Paintings' since this Monday. This display, featuring works by artist Francisco Plazuelo Jiménez, will remain open to the public until June 14, offering a unique perspective on European religious heritage.
The artistic proposal invites visitors on a journey through various cathedrals across the continent, focusing on the interplay of light with the architecture of these iconic temples. The organizers have highlighted that the exhibition is a voyage through time and the most significant enclaves of European religious heritage.
The inauguration was attended by the Deputy Mayor for Culture of the Cádiz City Council, as well as the Vice President of the Provincial Council of Cádiz. The author of the works and the exhibition curator, José María Esteban, were also present.
This initiative is part of the cultural program at the Centro Cultural de la calle Ancha, a key municipal venue for temporary exhibitions in the city's historic center. Admission is free until full capacity is reached, in line with the venue's usual policy.
