The Consorcio de Transportes Bahía de Cádiz, through the UTE Catamaranes Bahía de Cádiz, has announced the interruption of services, with the suspension expected to last until 8:55 PM on Monday, September 20. Alternative road transport has been arranged for all canceled trips from Cádiz to Rota.
In contrast, the maritime route connecting Cádiz with El Puerto de Santa María is operating normally according to its established schedule, despite adverse weather forecasts from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
The Aemet had issued yellow level warnings for Saturday, September 19, along the Cádiz coast, anticipating coastal phenomena and strong winds of up to 80 kilometers per hour.
Furthermore, the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras reports no cancellations for the maritime connections between Tarifa and Tangier (Morocco), with the sole exception of an Africa Morocco Link (AML) ferry scheduled for 2:00 PM that was canceled.
