This three-day event is jointly hosted by the schools of Las Esclavas de Cádiz, El Puerto de Santa María, and Jerez de la Frontera. Participants come from various Spanish provinces, including A Coruña, Alcoi, Barcelona, Benirredrá, Bilbao, Córdoba, Madrid (Chamberí and Entrevías), Pamplona, Salamanca, Santander, and Valencia, as well as Porto in Portugal.
The inaugural day took place on Thursday, April 16, at the San José-Esclavas del Sagrado Corazón school in Cádiz. Starting at 7:00 PM, participants and their families were welcomed, with support from the AMPAs of the host schools. Following an athletes' parade, the opening ceremony was held at 7:30 PM, succeeded by choreography exhibitions from the participating schools at 7:45 PM.
Sports competitions will be held on Friday in El Puerto de Santa María, from 9:30 AM to 6:40 PM, at the Rafael Sánchez Sports City and the Ramón Velázquez Pavilion. On the same day, the closing ceremony and awards presentation will take place at the Las Esclavas de Cádiz school starting at 9:45 PM.
The event will conclude on Saturday, April 18, in Jerez de la Frontera with a eucharistic celebration at the Cathedral at 10:00 AM, followed by a cultural activity at noon, marking the end of this national gathering. The initiative promotes coexistence, competition, and celebration, drawing inspiration from the legacy of Santa Rafaela María and fostering values such as respect, humility, and joy.
Students will stay overnight in the classrooms of the Las Esclavas de Cádiz school, which have been adapted for this purpose from Thursday to Saturday, thereby strengthening camaraderie and the experience of living together. The educational center has been transformed to offer all necessary services and make participants feel at home.
