This season has been particularly challenging for Cádiz CF due to an accumulation of injuries. Since preseason, the team has dealt with various ailments, some of which have required surgical intervention, affecting the availability of important players.
Among the footballers who have spent time in the infirmary are David Gil, Fali, Ontiveros, Caicedo, Joaquín, and De la Rosa. Added to these are the more serious injuries of Kovacevic and Tabatadze, as well as the absences of Suso and Iza in October.
“"We have the absence of Ontiveros, who has decided to undergo surgery, and Iza's injury, which will keep him out for more than a week."
In addition to these confirmed absences, the coach mentioned that another player suffered a knock during Thursday's training, although he is expected to be available for the match squad. The situation of Tabatadze is more complex; although he has returned to Cádiz, his recovery is long-term, and his return to the field is not anticipated until next season.
