The yellow team's performance in the second half of the 2025-26 season has been disastrous, with only one win in the last seventeen matches. This negative streak positions them as a strong candidate for relegation to Primera Federación, unless they manage to reverse the situation in the remaining four matchdays.
One of the key aspects of this poor season became evident last Saturday, May 2, when Cádiz CF drew (2-2) at the Cultural Leonesa stadium, a team at the bottom of the league and virtually relegated. This result, with a local goal in stoppage time, was insufficient for both teams and reflected the club's difficulty in securing vital points.
Cádiz CF, along with Real Zaragoza, is the only team that has failed to win any of the eight matches played against the four clubs newly promoted to LaLiga Hypermotion. These encounters, which theoretically should have been more manageable, have resulted in a significant loss of points.
In the first round, the team drew (3-3) against Real Sociedad B, drew goalless (0-0) against Ceuta and Andorra, and lost (1-2) at home to Cultural Leonesa. The second part of the championship has not been better, with defeats against the San Sebastián reserve team (0-2) and Ceuta (2-1), another loss at Nuevo Mirandilla against Andorra (0-1), and the recent draw (2-2) at Reino de León.
The overall balance is bleak: zero victories, four draws, and four defeats in eight matches against teams that were in the bronze division last season. This means that Cádiz CF has only accumulated four out of a possible twenty-four points, letting twenty crucial points slip away. This performance summarizes the sad reality of a team that is not performing up to par and risks leaving professional football if it does not react in the upcoming decisive matchdays.
