The town in Cádiz, which holds the title of Most Magical Town in Andalusia awarded by the Pueblos Mágicos de España Awards, invites residents and visitors to enjoy a unique experience during its patron saint festivities. The program, which began on Friday, April 17, includes events for all ages and tastes.
Among the highlighted activities are the Children's Olympics and the “San Jorge” Popular Race, which will be held on Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22, respectively. These sports initiatives aim to encourage citizen participation and healthy living, with prizes and commemorative t-shirts for participants.
On Thursday, April 23, the main day of the festivities, a solemn religious service in honor of San Jorge will take place, followed by the traditional procession with the city's banner. The day will continue with the Diana floreada by the Municipal Music Band, bull-baiting and release of cows, and a large popular gazpacho. The afternoon will be enlivened by a street party with the “Cat Forever” Orchestra and DJ’s, in addition to a concert by the group Los Selfies.
The weekend also promises excitement, with the release of cattle for the children's bull run on Friday, April 24, and concerts by Las Rodes and Juanfran Montes. On Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, the bull-baiting and release of cows will be repeated, accompanied by tastings of popular stew and steak, children's workshops, and street parties with the Cat Forever Orchestra and concerts by Los Elegidos, Los Bellacos, and Grupo Planeta 80.
