The Government has launched an aid program aimed at promoting energy efficiency improvements in homes, which came into force in the second quarter of 2026. This plan allows owners, usufructuaries, and tenants in the Province of Cádiz to access significant subsidies for renovations in their habitual and permanent residences.
The aid, which can reach a maximum of 21,400 euros per dwelling, is designed to cover between 40% and 80% of the renovation cost, provided that a 30% reduction in energy consumption is achieved. In situations of social and economic vulnerability, the subsidy could cover 100% of the work's cost.
“"Bathroom or kitchen renovations are only included if they are part of a comprehensive energy rehabilitation."
To qualify for these subsidies, it is essential that the actions guarantee a minimum 30% reduction in energy consumption. This includes improvements such as more efficient insulation in areas like kitchens or bathrooms, or replacing window frames with more insulating ones. Additionally, an expert must be hired to certify the energy savings before and after the work.
Eligible works include improvements in facade or window insulation, installation of photovoltaic solar panels, aerothermal systems, or biomass boilers. Those interested in the Province of Cádiz must process their applications through the Consejería de Fomento, Articulación del Territorio y Vivienda de la Junta de Andalucía. The maximum period for executing the works is twelve months from the date the aid is granted.
