A joint operation involving Customs Surveillance, the Civil Guard, and the National Police has seized 43 fuel containers and two vehicles that were supplying a narco-boat in the Guadalete River, in El Puerto de Santa María, during the night of March 23 and early morning of March 24.

The operation was launched after the operational group of the Customs Surveillance Service detected activity involving the supply of fuel to high-speed vessels in the Guadalete River. Near El Puerto de Santa María, on the riverbank, two inflatable boats and two vehicles belonging to a criminal organization attempting to supply them were located.
One of the vehicles was a large van and the other an SUV, both loaded with fuel containers. Upon the approach of the police operation, the alleged individuals responsible for the vehicles fled in one of the boats, taking advantage of the darkness and abandoning the vehicles that were obstructing the path.
During the escape, the van, which was also transporting fuel containers, caught fire and was completely incinerated. Authorities are continuing their investigations, and further arrests related to this incident are not ruled out.
This operation is the result of close collaboration between the Tax Agency, the National Police, and the Civil Guard, aimed at dismantling smuggling networks operating in the region, by seizing large quantities of fuel, boats, and vehicles used by these criminal organizations.
