During an event held in Puerto Real, socialist leaders from Cádiz highlighted the significant increase in workload at the province's shipyards and the notable reduction in unemployment. They attributed these achievements to policies implemented by the Spanish Government, in stark contrast to what they described as a «massive deception» by the current Andalusian government.
The socialists have characterized the central executive's management as the «engine that has restored industrial dignity» to the Bay of Cádiz. They have harshly criticized the regional government, accusing it of «abandoning residents to their fate on public healthcare waiting lists,» a recurring theme in their speeches.
“"We are clear that there is a model that delivers: that of María Jesús Montero and SEPI, which has allowed us to have the highest workload in the history of the shipyards."
To support their claims, strategic programs such as the FSS with the United Kingdom, orders from the Ministry of Defense, and the commitment to wind energy were mentioned. Furthermore, it was highlighted that Puerto Real has seen an unemployment reduction of over 5,000 people thanks to these policies, representing a decrease of more than a third of unemployment since previous periods.
The party's federal leadership emphasized that the election campaign is an opportunity for socialists to prove they are a «real alternative.» They warned about what they consider «the danger posed by the right-wing parties,» equating the opposition's policies with «cuts and setbacks.»
“"If an Andalusian does not want to wait endless days to see a doctor, if they do not want to see relatives die waiting for dependency care, or if their children's opportunities depend on their bank account, the only solution is the PSOE."
Finally, a call was made for participation in the polls for the upcoming elections on May 17, urging citizens to choose between «the well-being of the majority or the business of a few.» The party is confident that mobilization in the Bay of Cádiz will be key to reversing the current model and consolidating reindustrialization policies in the province.
