The works, with a budget of 81,234 euros, have an estimated execution period of three and a half months. TKE, the company responsible for the maintenance of the lifting equipment, is the contractor for this project.
This initiative follows numerous criticisms received in recent years regarding the condition of the train station, particularly the deterioration of its access points, including escalators and elevators.
Approximately six months ago, a municipal representative met with the head of the Cádiz Commuter Rail Network to coordinate these improvements to the municipality's railway infrastructure.
In addition to replacing the escalators, planned interventions include enhanced lighting and a comprehensive remodeling project that will cover accessibility improvements, as well as the renovation and painting of the station's facade.
