The event, jointly organized by the Club Náutico Sevilla and the Club Náutico Puerto Sherry, in collaboration with the Andalusian Sailing Federation and the Junta de Andalucía, brought together prominent sailors from the region.
Over two days, ten races were completed, five each day, under favorable wind conditions. The final day was marked by an average wind intensity of 15 knots, with gusts reaching up to 22 knots, which allowed the scheduled program to proceed without setbacks.
In the senior category, a sailor from the Andalusian Sailing Federation's Sailing School claimed the regional title, demonstrating great consistency with eight partial victories and two second-place finishes. The podium in this category was completed by an athlete from the Real Club El Candado in second place and another from the Club Náutico Puerto Sherry in third, who maintained a close contest until the end.
In the women's category, a sailor from the Club Náutico Puerto Sherry was crowned champion of Andalusia 2026, standing out for her consistent performance throughout the ten heats. In the men's U19 category, the title went to an athlete from the Real Club El Candado, who also dominated his category with eight first-place finishes.
The trophy ceremony took place at the facilities of the Club Náutico Puerto Sherry, marking the close of this important championship that consolidates the regional iQFOil season in Andalusia and reinforces the province's position as a venue for nautical competitions.
