The project, with a total investment of 6.5 million euros, includes the construction of a new reservoir in the La Pedrera area. This initiative will increase the city's storage capacity by 50 percent, reaching 24,000 cubic meters.
The plan also involves installing new connection pipelines linking the main branch of Reyes Católicos with the Naveritos and La Pedrera reservoirs. This upgrade aims to optimize the municipal water supply and ensure system efficiency.
This action will allow for the creation of three pipelines to connect the main branch with the reservoirs, as well as the construction of the new facility with a capacity of 24,000 cubic meters.
During the plenary session, it was also agreed to request that the Junta de Andalucía reactivate the project for the new La Cucarela health center. The municipal council has urged regional authorities to prioritize this healthcare infrastructure within the current regional plan.
