The Chiclana council, aiming to support social affairs and the protection of groups promoting social integration, will contribute to subsidizing Asodown Chiclana to carry out the occupational workshops of the ‘Learning for Insertion Project’. This initiative seeks to facilitate the socio-labor insertion of people with Down syndrome through training and quality employment.
Mayor José María Román highlighted the importance of this agreement, which in previous years has helped improve Asodown's facilities and services. He stated that "a public money effort is made to make a better Chiclana, so that families and people are happier", and praised the "tremendous and incredible work" carried out by the association with "great affection".
For her part, Antonia Amado thanked the mayor and the council for their collaboration, emphasizing that "without this agreement much of what we do would not be possible". She mentioned labor insertion as a fundamental pillar, recalling that many members of the association have been working in local hotels for almost 20 years, an achievement she attributed to Begoña's "determination".
Begoña Braojos stressed the significance of the agreement for the entity, being "non-profit", and noted that the contribution "is very helpful for the care of our users, for their labor insertion, and for their day-to-day lives". She also recalled that the labor insertion project originated with her colleague Verónica and thanked the team and the board of directors for their work and support.
The agreement, signed in El Campito, primarily aims to promote the ‘Learning for Insertion Project’ carried out by the association.
