The delegate for Sports, Isabel Butrón; the president of the Arango-Lara Foundation, Pelayo Arango-Lara, and the Foundation's representative, Fátima Domínguez, presented the event. Isabel Butrón highlighted the “commendable work carried out by the Arango-Lara Foundation to raise awareness for rare diseases” and emphasized that “sport becomes a tool to transform lives.” She encouraged citizens and visitors to participate in the charitable cause.
For his part, Pelayo Arango-Lara thanked the City Council for their support and explained that the Foundation works on the research and visibility of rare and degenerative diseases. He noted that, together with the ‘El Sueño de Vicky’ Foundation, they have decided to create a joint research project and are confident that this tournament will be the first of many. He also thanked the collaboration of sponsors and those who “believe in what we do.”
Fátima Domínguez detailed that the competition will be played in the individual stableford format, with two tee times scheduled for 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The tournament is expected to conclude around 9:00 PM, at which time the trophy presentation will take place. The trophies, created by Pedro Barberá, represent a heart, the Foundation's emblem, and the competition's best player will receive the large trophy with their name engraved.
