The Municipal Sports Delegation has decided to postpone the Carrera de los Colores, originally planned for this Saturday, in anticipation of strong east winds. The primary objective is to ensure the safety of both participants and attendees at the event.
The new proposed date for the race, weather permitting, is Saturday, October 10th, at 5:00 PM. Sports delegate Isabel Butrón stated that "the forecast of strong winds will not only hinder the setup of the event but fundamentally its development and, therefore, the safety of attendees." She added, "The goal is for this festive race to proceed normally so that both children and adults can fully enjoy it, which is why we have decided to postpone it to October 10th."
The Carrera de los Colores, which will not be competitive, will cover a total of three kilometers through the Huerta Mata area. The start and finish lines will be located next to the Municipal Athletics Stadium. Following the race, a party with DJs will be held to maintain the festive atmosphere.
Isabel Butrón also commented that expectations for this edition have been very high, with the 1,200 available registrations selling out well in advance. The event has successfully attracted entire families interested in enjoying this sporting and festive occasion.
