According to data from the Tourism Office, hotel occupancy in Jaén capital reached over 96 percent, particularly during the initial days of the fair coinciding with the Pilar long weekend (October 9-12) and the final weekend (October 18). Pre-fair estimates from the sector (TURJAEN) had already projected occupancy at 91.77%.
The heritage of Jaén attracted numerous visitors to the Castle of Santa Catalina, which received 1797 people during the nine days of the fair. The Tourism Office assisted 838 individuals, of whom 776 were Spanish and 62 were foreign. National tourists primarily came from the Community of Madrid (95), Andalusia (notably Córdoba with 74 and Cádiz with 56), Castilla-La Mancha (64 from Ciudad Real), the Valencian Community (58 from Alicante and 45 from Valencia), and the Canary Islands (56).
Among foreign visitors, those from France (18), Great Britain (11), Holland (10), and Germany (8) stood out, along with tourists from the United States, Canada, and Asia.
The Councilor for Tourism, María Espejo, expressed her satisfaction with the response from tourists, stating that "these figures of full hotel occupancy confirm that Jaén capital is experiencing an extraordinary moment of tourist attraction." She highlighted the success of the Culture Board's program, featuring concerts and festivals at the Auditorio de La Alameda, as well as zarzuela, children's theater, and street music performances.
Espejo emphasized the high performance of the Castle of Santa Catalina and the Tourism Office, noting that "Jaén is becoming a preferred destination for these tourists." She added, "From the municipal Culture Board, we continue to commit to strengthening the quality of our services, promoting our valuable heritage, and encouraging initiatives that position Jaén capital as a top-tier tourist benchmark year-round."
