The initiative, organized by the Association for the Recovery of Historical Memory of Jaén with the collaboration of the Provincial Council, will take place at the Teatro Maestro Álvarez Alonso. Admission will be free and the director will be present.
The Councilor for Culture, Elena Molina, along with Miguel Ángel Valdivia, president of the historical memory collective, and Paqui La Torre, a member of the association, have invited citizens to participate in this cultural and reflective event.
Elena Molina expressed her satisfaction at hosting this program again in Martos, thanking the Association and the Provincial Council for their involvement. She encouraged attendees to enjoy a "first-class" film that prompts reflection on "an important episode of history that should not be forgotten" and the social responsibility to "learn from past mistakes and not repeat them".
“"It is a pleasure to host this program in Martos again."
Following the screening, a Q&A session will be held with director Judith Colell. The film “Frontera” tells the story of individuals who helped Jews escape to Europe through the Pyrenees during the Franco era.
“"We enter into extermination, a great tragedy. With this screening, we remember a dire past that we hope will not be repeated by watching these democratic films, so that we may live in peace, democracy, freedom, and a constitutional system with human rights for all."
