The Chamber of Commerce Foundation of Seville has inaugurated the exhibition ‘Roots and Legacy’ at its headquarters in Plaza de la Contratación, which can be visited until October 5th.

The exhibition brings together posters, photographs, advertisements, and news items that pay homage to some of the longest-standing businesses in the Andalusian capital. The project aims to recognize the trajectory of these companies, inspire new generations of entrepreneurs, and offer a historical and cultural journey through the city.
Among the displayed pieces, visitors can find materials and products from centennial companies such as ABC de Sevilla, Ybarra, and Inés Rosales. The exhibition seeks to connect the city's commercial past with its present, showing how advertising reflects the life and society of past eras.

"It is a great legacy that needs to be remembered, because by studying a city's advertising, you understand how its people lived. Therefore, with this exhibition, we want you to walk through Seville of 100 years ago, to see how we were. Highlighting this is the main objective."

Isabel Jorquera · Exhibition curator and lecturer
Isabel Jorquera, one of the curators, emphasized the importance of this initiative in raising awareness among students about the history of Andalusian brands. Research collaborator Juan Carlos Rodríguez added that these brands are part of the city's emotional history.
The inaugural event also included the participation of the General Director of Inés Rosales, Juan Carlos Espinosa, and the director of EUSA, Raúl Matres, who encouraged young people to seize the opportunity to live in a city that values its tradition.
The exhibition is curated by lecturers Isabel Jorquera and Beatriz Cuevas, both with extensive experience in the fields of advertising and public relations.
