The exhibition, which brings together the work of artists Eduardo Porcuna, José Luis Molina, and César López 'El César', offers diverse artistic perspectives on the bullfighting world. The inauguration was attended by provincial delegate María del Mar López and the president of the 3 Taurinos 3 Cultural Forum, Juan Aguilera, along with the artists and the public.
During the event, the artists explained details of their creations. López highlighted how the exhibition brings bullfighting closer through photography and painting, thanking the 3 Taurinos 3 Cultural Forum for their collaboration in making the Patio de Luces a space for the dissemination of bullfighting culture.
The provincial delegate noted that the photographs by Porcuna and Molina capture the 'plasticity of the bull-rearing fields and the liturgy of the bullring,' while César López's paintings translate the 'mysticism, strength, and different artistic expressions of bullfighting' onto canvas.
Eduardo Porcuna and José Luis Molina, who have previously exhibited works on the Almería Bullfighting Fair in this same venue, now share the spotlight with César López, who is exhibiting at the Provincial Council for the first time. López emphasized that this exhibition unites the three artists through their passion for bullfighting and for having shown their art in the 'heart of the province of Almería'.
Juan Aguilera, president of the 3 Taurinos 3 Cultural Forum, thanked the Provincial Council for its support of such initiatives, describing bullfighting as 'culture' and a phenomenon that conveys 'values' to young people, in addition to its connection with disciplines like photography and painting.
During the event, recognitions were presented to artists Eduardo Porcuna, José Luis Molina, and César López 'El César', as well as to bullfighter Ruiz Manuel. A notable moment was César López presenting a portrait he created to Ruiz Manuel, whom he considers his mentor.
The 'Sueños Taurinos' exhibition consists of ten photographs from each of the photographic artists and ten paintings by César López, totaling 30 works that engage in dialogue. The exhibition can be visited at the Patio de Luces of the Provincial Council until August 31st, during morning and afternoon hours.
