The initiative, scheduled for September 1st and 2nd, has seen a remarkable response from the town's elderly residents. A total of 650 seniors will participate in this event, divided equally between two dinners: 325 places for the dinner on September 1st and another 325 for the dinner on September 2nd.
Registration for the first dinner, held on August 17th, 18th, and 19th, quickly filled all available spots. Subsequently, registrations for the dinner on September 2nd, which began on Monday, August 24th, also concluded today, Tuesday, August 25th, closing the enrollment process earlier than initially planned.
Both dinners will take place at 9:00 PM at the Municipal Hall of Villa del Río. The organizing departments have expressed gratitude for the "magnificent response and participation" from the seniors, who once again have shown great interest in this annual event.
The event aims to be a space for community and tribute, with all participants expected to gather for "two great nights of fellowship and homage to our seniors."
