The forest fire declared this Wednesday in the Las Hoyas area, within the municipality of Soportújar, has now been brought under control, as reported by the Plan Infoca through its official channels. Work is now focused on finishing touches and definitive extinction to prevent possible rekindling of the fire.
The deployment to combat the flames involved significant ground and air resources. After the alert was received around 1:20 PM, Infoca mobilized two helicopters, three forest firefighter groups, a fire engine, two operations technicians, and an environmental agent.
Images released by the operation show personnel carrying out cooling tasks on the affected terrain to ensure the complete stabilization of the fire.
