The Diputación de Almería has been the setting for the presentation of this festivity, which promises to transform the municipality with a diverse offering. The program includes the opening of a market, children's workshops, guided tours, and musical performances spread across various points of the town.
“"It is an event that integrates different cultural and artistic disciplines and takes place in the public space of the municipality, encouraging the participation of residents and visitors."
The organization has highlighted that this edition incorporates new features into its program, maintaining the participatory nature that involves local groups and attracts numerous visitors. Among the new proposals are an agro-ecological market and a musical program with various styles, in addition to heritage activities and workshops for children.
Activities will begin at 12:00 PM with the market's opening, followed by initiatives such as the children's workshop ‘Create your Light’ and a guided tour through the town's corners. The evening will be enlivened with concerts and parades.
The climax of the celebration will take place from 9:15 PM, with the presentation and welcome, followed by the lighting of a large-format oil lamp and the switching off of electric lighting. From that moment, various musical and scenic performances will take over different points of Almócita.
The musical program will extend until dawn, with the participation of groups such as Kaverna, Liborio, and Malefixio, as well as a DiscDiz session and a performance by Mileth, offering a wide variety of styles that will coexist with the other cultural activities planned.
To facilitate attendance at the event, a microbus service will be available between Almócita and the Padules parking lot, operating from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
