The Poniente University Hospital, part of the Andalusian Health Service, has welcomed new professionals who will reinforce its staff during the summer period. The welcome session included six informative workshops designed to familiarize staff with the center's structure and organization, as well as the support services available to facilitate their work.
The hospital's general director, Pedro Acosta, presided over the welcome event in the Auditorium Hall, where he addressed the new hires. Acosta emphasized that the session aims to serve as an essential first point of contact, conveying the hospital's working methods and driving values, with a focus on a sense of belonging and a commitment to humanized care, combining quality with warmth.
This initiative, organized annually by the hospital's Professional Area as part of its Workplace Well-being Plan, seeks to offer new members a comprehensive view of the organization, fostering their active participation and informing them about the tools at their disposal.
The training session featured six presentations covering the operations of the Professional Area, the Research Support and Library Unit, epidemiological surveillance and public health, Occupational Risk Prevention, Patient Safety, and the hospital's Humanization strategies.
The welcome event concluded with the reception of new professionals by the care managers and coordinators of the various units, who addressed any questions and explained the specific aspects of working in each service.
