The special operation launched by the Civil Guard in Cantillana, a municipality in Seville, has resulted in the arrest of five individuals. This was confirmed last Friday by the sub-delegate of the Government in Seville, Francisco Toscano, who detailed the outcomes of this initiative.
Among those arrested, two are linked to robberies and thefts, leading to the recovery of stolen goods for the victims. Another two arrests are related to outstanding judicial claims, while the fifth individual was apprehended as the alleged perpetrator of an assault.
“"All of this demonstrates the confidence we must have in the functioning of our institutions."
Toscano emphasized that, thanks to this operation, no serious incidents have been reported in Cantillana in recent days. He also called on citizens to promote serenity and coexistence, avoiding statements that could generate additional tensions in the municipality.
The sub-delegate assured that the Civil Guard's special deployment will remain active "as long as necessary," reaffirming the commitment of the security forces and the Government of Spain to the safety of citizens in their communities.
Concurrently, residents of Cantillana have requested permission to organize a demonstration. Their protest focuses on the perceived insecurity and concern over the release of alleged perpetrators of violent robberies shortly after being detained. They also demand an increase in the local police force.
