The operation began following complaints from residents about a continuous flow of people in and out of a property in the town, which had prior records of being occupied. Civil Guard investigators confirmed the location was being used as a marijuana cultivation center.
During the property search, approximately 200 marijuana plants in an advanced flowering stage were seized, along with a complex electrical system necessary for their cultivation. Officers also detected an illegal connection to the public electricity grid, posing a fire risk to adjacent homes.
The group managing the plantation used various computer and video surveillance equipment to monitor for police presence. Analysis of this equipment led to the identification of the three responsible individuals, who were arrested in La Rinconada and Alcalá del Río.
The detainees have been handed over to judicial authorities as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health and electricity fraud.
