The incident occurred around 08:45 AM, affecting an area near the Tram line. Although the collapse of the trees caused material damage to the road, no injuries were reported, according to municipal sources.
Municipal crews, with the assistance of the Local Police and Civil Protection staff from Huétor Vega, intervened immediately to remove the trees and restore normal conditions in the area.
Given the forecast for adverse weather conditions, the local government has urged residents to exercise extreme caution. Preventive measures include securing awnings and flowerpots, as well as avoiding walking under large trees during periods of intense wind.
Local authorities are currently assessing the impact of the storm and conducting inspections of trees and municipal roads to ensure the safety of residents.
