During a visit to the Active Participation Center of Maracena, the leading candidate for the Andalusian Parliament for Granada underscored the relevance of public policies promoted by her party. She emphasized that on May 17, Andalusia and Granada face a crucial choice between regression or advancement in well-being, equality, and opportunities, calling for the mobilization of progressive voters.
The representative highlighted Maracena as an example of good management and commitment to public services, describing it as a benchmark in services, equality policies, and infrastructure. She mentioned transformative projects like the metro, which she considers a symbol of modernity with a socialist stamp. She also recalled that two years ago, progressive policies managed to reverse previous management, a change that, she stated, is now necessary in Andalusia.
“"We are going to turn the polls around and win to defend our Welfare State against the stability sold by the governing party, which means a free hand to continue destroying everything achieved around the public system."
In the health sector, the candidate denounced the deterioration of the Andalusian public system, pointing to long waiting lists that hinder access to care and treatment. She criticized the abandonment of the demand for a 24-hour Emergency service at the Maracena Health Center, a demand that, she affirmed, will be a priority under a new socialist government.
The party has announced that it will promote the strengthening of primary care and health services in the Metropolitan Area. It was explained that a Public Health Recovery Plan will be launched, where primary care will have a preferential place due to its ability to resolve most cases.
Alongside the mayor of the metropolitan town, the representative defended that public services are Andalusia's greatest heritage, built through the efforts of generations. She reaffirmed the party's commitment to public transport in the Metropolitan Area, seeking more frequencies, connections, and service quality for a growing area that needs real solutions.
