Agents from the Fiscal and Borders Patrol (Pafif) of the Civil Guard of Calahonda carried out the operation at a physical store in the Nevada Shopping Center, linked to an international e-commerce platform.
During the inspection, various products on display for sale were examined, including toys, card games, keychains, and plush toys that reproduced well-known brands. Agents detected labeling irregularities and deficiencies in quality and finish, raising suspicions about their authenticity and compliance with safety standards.
The Civil Guard seized a total of 606 products, with a commercial value amounting to 10,972.99 euros. Subsequent investigations identified the administrator of the company responsible for the establishment, with the investigation prolonged due to changes in the company's administration.
The Civil Guard reminds the public that the sale of counterfeit products harms legitimate brand owners, constitutes unfair competition for legal businesses, and can pose risks to consumer safety due to non-compliance with quality and safety controls.
