The Granadan artist Lola Índigo has selected the emblematic residence of Federico García Lorca in Valderrubio as the backdrop for her latest audiovisual production. The music video for her new single, titled 'Tus iniciales', was filmed within the walls where the García Lorca family spent long periods, especially during summers in the Vega de Granada, an environment that profoundly inspired the work of the celebrated poet and playwright.
The music video production was handled by Santa Mónica Films and features the notable participation of actress Mina El Hammani, alongside musical collaborations from Lia Kali, Queralt Lahoz, and Salma. The visual work includes various allusions and references to iconic works by Lorca, such as The House of Bernarda Alba (1936), a play inspired by a real family and home in Valderrubio.
Among the details that pay homage to Lorca's work, elements such as the green dress worn by Mina, evoking the character of Adela; a trousseau embroidery scene; the presence of a 'pomegranate of bitterness'; and a silhouette with a hat alluding to Pepe el Romano can be appreciated. This project, directed by Nico Bonet and Raúl Béjar, received support from the Valderrubio City Council, which provided the facilities of the Federico García Lorca House-Museum for the recording during the weekend of April 11.
