Las Gabias Transforms April into an Open Cultural Stage with Diverse Program

The 'Month of Culture' in Las Gabias will feature theater, dance, music, and workshops in public spaces, culminating in the San Marcos celebration.

The Las Gabias City Council has unveiled the program for its 'Month of Culture', an initiative set to fill the town's streets and public areas with a diverse array of cultural activities throughout April.

This proposal aims to bring culture closer to all audiences and age groups, fostering citizen participation through a dynamic and creative agenda. Key activities include historical reenactments, theatrical performances, workshops, music, literature, and events linked to the traditional celebration of San Marcos.
A highlight will be the street performing arts festival Habitando Escenas. Una ciudad, mil escenarios (Inhabiting Scenes. A city, a thousand stages), scheduled for April 17, 18, and 19. This event will transform the municipality into an open stage, bringing theater and dance to its streets and squares, and is supported by the Diputación de Granada.

Meanwhile, Pilar Caracuel, Deputy for Culture and Education at the Diputación de Granada, highlighted the institution's commitment to initiatives that transform public spaces into venues for encounter and creativity.
