The agreement concludes a judicial process that had been ongoing since a violent clash occurred on June 24, 2020. The incident, which involved shots and knife attacks between two feuding families, originated from a prior conflict at the defendants' home and culminated near the Pirámides roundabout.
The father, deemed the material perpetrator of the attempted homicide, has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison. His son, who acted as an accomplice, received a two-year jail sentence. The judicial resolution applied mitigating factors for undue delay and reparation of damages, as the defendants had previously paid the civil liability of 100,000 euros.
Initially, the Public Prosecutor's Office sought seven years in prison for each individual for attempted homicide. However, with the agreement reached, the prosecution and the accusers have dropped charges against the victim and the other individuals involved in the fight, who have been acquitted.
The defense, represented by lawyer Solimán Ahmed, expressed satisfaction with the agreement, which averts the trial scheduled to take place at the Audiencia de Granada and definitively closes the case after years of proceedings.
