The National Geographic Institute (IGN) confirmed a seismic event of magnitude 2.6 that occurred shortly after 07:05 AM this Friday. The epicenter was located in Santa Fe, southwest of the urban center, at a shallow depth.
The tremor was felt with an intensity of II-III in municipalities such as Calicasas, Chauchina, and Cúllar Vega. With a slightly lower intensity (II), the earthquake was also perceived in Albolote, Vegas del Genil, El Ventorrillo, the city of Granada, Láchar, and Santa Fe itself.
