This cultural cycle, known as FAN, has established itself as a benchmark in promoting cultural innovation in rural areas. Under the artistic direction of Matteo Cifariello and Irene Sierra, the festival will kick off on May 29 with a collective creation workshop called 'Soil Stories' and a flamenco show, both scheduled for the Plaza Mirador de la Sierra.
The program for May 30 will extend to two main locations. Plaza de España will host the show 'Señor Riesgo' by the Compañía Maurangas, which blends circus, theater, and clown elements. From this same square, a poetic route will begin, led by the Stankos Ramadán company. Simultaneously, Finca La Furriola will feature various flamenco and performing arts presentations.
On Sunday, May 31, morning activities will include a stilts workshop and a poetic route with the participation of Pedro Enríquez, Marga Blanco, and Casilda Pilar Ortega. The festival will conclude at Finca La Furriola with a sound jam and audiovisual projections.

Representatives from the Department of Culture and Education, along with the acting mayor of Dílar and the municipal councilor for Culture, have highlighted the importance of initiatives like the Artes Nevada Festival. They describe it as an “innovative way” to bring culture to rural areas, where art becomes an essential tool for coexistence, participation, and social transformation. Furthermore, it was noted that FAN contributes to “projecting the cultural and scenic richness” of Sierra Nevada, attracting new audiences and boosting the local economy.
For his part, the acting mayor of Dílar emphasized that the FAN activities will serve as an attraction for a diverse audience in the rural areas of Sierra Nevada, stressing that art not only drives the economy but also fosters new relationships and cohesion within the community.
