The operation, carried out in Albolote, Maracena, Cúllar Vega, Santa Fe, and Calicasas, resulted in the arrest of 37 individuals, 14 of whom have been remanded in custody. The investigation has successfully dismantled a criminal structure involved in international drug trafficking.
Among the items seized during the searches were over 160 kilograms of vacuum-sealed marijuana buds ready for distribution, identified by quality control stickers. Additionally, 380 cannabis sativa and hashish plants were apprehended.
The arsenal confiscated includes five firearms, one bladed weapon, various ammunition, packaging machines, a frequency jammer, and two GPS trackers. Fourteen cars and three motorcycles were also seized.
The criminal organization accumulated over 124,000 euros in cash, along with jewelry of various values, as part of its economic activities. Asset investigation has led to the freezing of more than 10 properties, 20 vehicles, and numerous bank accounts, with a total value exceeding 2 million euros.
The arrest of an Irish citizen, allegedly acting as an international liaison, was crucial to the operation. This individual was found with key suspects to verify the quality of the narcotic substance intended for transport.
