Cúllar Vega will become this weekend, on May 15, 16, and 17, the meeting point for the second edition of the "Campervan Gathering". Following last year's success, more than a hundred caravanners are expected to attend from various Andalusian provinces and even from other regions of Spain.
The Cúllar Vega City Council has committed to consolidating this event, adapting and preparing the fairground to accommodate caravans, motorhomes, and campers in the best possible conditions during the three days of the gathering.
The mayor, Jorge Sánchez, highlighted the importance of this gathering as "a significant economic boost for local businesses," as the influx of visitors stimulates the municipality's economy through consumption in establishments and shops.
Sánchez added that these types of events demonstrate that the municipality is "constantly on the move and open to proposals that generate new opportunities," positioning Cúllar Vega as a benchmark for itinerant and sustainable tourism.
The organization of this second edition has been made possible by the initiative of a group of local residents who are enthusiasts of this travel style, to whom the City Council has publicly thanked for their fundamental work in consolidating the initiative.
