The blaze originated in the area known as La Castilleja around 5:00 PM. This new outbreak adds to the recent activity of the service in the north of the province, following the containment this Sunday of another fire that occurred on Saturday in the municipality of Los Blázquez.
For the control and extinction efforts in Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo, Infoca has deployed an operation consisting of one light helicopter, two light amphibious aircraft, and two fire engines. The ground team is made up of 21 professionals specialized in firefighting.
