The Belmez City Council has announced the upcoming installation of the Mobile Documentation Teams (VIDOC) from the General Directorate of Police. This service will enable citizens to obtain or renew their National Identity Document (DNI) and passport without needing to travel outside the municipality.
According to a decree issued by the Mayoress-President, Ana Belén Blasco Juárez, this initiative is part of the action calendar organized by the General Directorate of Police to bring public services closer to various municipalities in the province, thereby facilitating administrative procedures for residents.
The mobile unit will be operational in the Market parking lot, located on C/ Tesoro, on October 9th and 19th, 2026. On these dates, individuals with prior appointments can process both the issuance and renewal of their official documentation.
Interested individuals must first contact the Municipal Offices to receive detailed information regarding the procedure, necessary documentation, and the steps required to submit their application.
The deployment of this mobile unit represents a significant improvement in the provision of local public services, particularly benefiting those with mobility challenges in reaching the National Police issuance facilities.
The decree also includes a reminder for elderly individuals whose identity documents do not state 'Permanent Validity'. In such cases, renewing the DNI will be necessary to maintain the documentation in accordance with current regulations.
The City Council encourages citizens to seek information well in advance and prepare the required documentation to expedite the issuance and renewal days.
