The incident was caused by a head-on collision between two vehicles on the A-357 highway, at kilometer 44. Several drivers alerted the Andalusian Emergency Service 112 after witnessing the event.
Personnel from the Provincial Firefighters Consortium, along with the Civil Guard and Local Police, arrived at the scene to free occupants trapped in the damaged cars.
Health services from the Andalusian Health Service transported the injured. An 8-year-old minor was airlifted to the Materno Infantil hospital. The remaining five adults were hospitalized at the Clínico and Regional centers.
