The competition, promoted by the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) and the acb with the support of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), will feature 14 participating teams. The tournament structure has been defined based on the 2025-26 season classification criteria.
The Malaga team has been placed in Group B, where it will compete against clubs such as Kids&Us Manresa, Joventut Badalona, Amara Lleida, Bilbao Basket, UCAM Murcia Juver, and Obradoiro C.A.B.
The first phase format will consist of a double round-robin league over 14 matchdays. The official 2026-27 season schedule will begin on Friday, September 25, concluding with a Final 6 tournament scheduled between May 13 and May 16, 2027.
